As many who frequent this blog will tell you by now, I have back surgery scheduled at 8AM, Thursday. Doctor says I will be in hospital for 3-5 days. But, he says I won’t leave until I meet certain criteria. One of the criteria is that I have to be able to walk around the nurse’s station at least once. That’s easier said than done. I remember how difficult it was to walk after my first back surgery in 1995. Regardless, I expect to be in hospital at least 3 days. Then I will probably be bed ridden for another few days. I anticipate this blog being on auto-pilot for at least a week. I’m sure Google will sigh with relief.
So, this will be my last post for a while. I will have someone, who will have access to this site, to moderate whatever comments are made in my absence. Thanks to everyone who has said prayers, offered words of support and the many kind words about this blog. It is people such as you that give me the impetus to continue to share my thoughts, opinions and personal musings. I sometimes look at this blog in bewilderment. I continually amaze myself with some of the things I say and talk about. But, it is what it is; a personal blog. It is nothing less, nothing more than that. But, it is a hobby that I never thought I would get hooked on as I am now. I thoroughly enjoy blogging. I enjoy the people I chat with on this blog and on other blogs as well. I hope to be back in about a week.

Good Luck. I hope everything goes well, and I will catch up with you when you return.
Hi David,
Good luck with your surgery! I'll be sending all the positive vibes I have! I'm sure Ralph will be fine with someone else feeding him! Don't worry, dogs are very resilient!
David,
Just checking in to send you love and blessings and many prayers for your complete and fast recovery.
Take very good care of yourself and we'll be here when you get back,
Angela.
I know, you'll be back in short to tell us about your surgery.
Meanwhile, I wish you good luck with your surgery and a ready recovery.
Take care of yourself.
Get well soon. Eager to read your next posts
I'd like to say thanks to everyone. I appreciate the kind comments during my leave of absence. I hope to be full strength in a few days...or close to it. Thanks once again.
